about 10 people have been killed more than 50 others have been injured in the continuing fighting between the Islamist fighters of  Harakat Al-shabab Al-mujahideen and Hizbul Islam in port town of Kismayu, witnesses and officials  told Shabelle radio on Thursday.

The latest reports from the town say the level of the fighting increased and spread further into other several areas in Kismayu town as both sides are using heavy weapons in the fighting.

Locals confirmed that 8 people including two civilians killed in the clashes while others were the warring sides in the town. 

Medical officials whom we had contacted in Kismayu town  that more than 50 people 15 of them civilians were brought in the hospital of the town while the others were the sides fighting there. 

The fighting seems still spreading in whole parts of the town as both sides of the fighting exchanging heavy weapons in town. 

More people have not yet got the chance to flee from their houses due to the bitter fighting continuing in the town and also the movement of the traffic, people and business in the town were halted already.
